Alpacas are very curious animals. They like to get close to you, but will usually jump back if you have sudden movements like reaching out to them quickly, They are peaceful animals, each with their own personality. They prefer not to be grabbed, hugged, and accept being touched on their backs.
Alpacas don’t bite
Alpacas do not like their heads being touched and do not like being hugged. petting their hindquarters reminds them of predators so they shy away from that contact ass well.
When visiting the farm but especially if you take our alpacas for a walk you should wear footwear that protects you against rough objects or slips. you will be in a farm atmosphere so protect your feet!
